How to Plan a Corporate Annual Day Your Team Will Actually Remember

Rohit Verma · Corporate Events Lead·

We've run annual days for teams of 50 and teams of 5,000, and the pattern is always the same: the events people remember aren't the ones with the biggest LED wall, they're the ones that felt personal.

Start with the "why", not the venue

Before booking anything, agree internally on what this event is actually for — celebrating wins, boosting morale after a hard year, or introducing a new leadership team. That single decision shapes everything downstream, from the run-of-show to the entertainment budget.

Budget in three buckets

We ask clients to split spend into venue & production, food & hospitality, and "the memorable bit" (awards, entertainment, surprise elements). Most teams under-invest in the third bucket — and it is the one people talk about on Monday.

The segment everyone secretly loves

Peer-nominated awards — silly categories voted on by colleagues, not management — consistently get the loudest reaction in the room. Budget 45 minutes for it and let it run long.

Plan the boring logistics first

Transport, seating for 500+ people, and a sound check that actually happens before doors open — unglamorous, but they are what stop your annual day from turning into a scramble at 6pm.

Running an annual day, launch or offsite this year? Share your headcount and date and our corporate team will send a proposal with a realistic budget range within a day.
